U Mobile has revealed that effective 21 June 2013, its U Mobile postpaid subscribers travelling to Myanmar will be able to enjoy voice roaming on Myanmar Posts and Telecommunications’ (MPT) network.
U Mobile subscribers to Myanmar will enjoy the lowest voice roaming rates at RM4.00 per minute when calling back to Malaysia and RM1.25 per minute when making local calls in Myanmar.
Governmental statistics from the local Central Statistical Organisation show that more than 30,000 Malaysian travellers visited Myanmar in 2012. The voice roaming service is expected to benefit Malaysian travellers who visit Myanmar.
U Mobile currently has over 300 international roaming arrangements in 185 countries worldwide and Myanmar is the latest of its rapidly growing list.
