Kuala Lumpur, 29 May 2013 – U Mobile prepaid subscribers take note. U Mobile has partnered with 7-Eleven stores to offer a brand new Samsung GALAXY smartphone on a weekly basis, to its top three highest successful top-up users. The reward program runs from 20 May to 30 June 2013.

To qualify, a subscriber simply needs to top up a minimum of RM30 at any 7-Eleven outlets nationwide. The highest successful accumulated reload each week will be rewarded a brand new Samsung GALAXY S4. Subscribers with the second and third highest successful reloads will each win a new Samsung GALAXY Y and winners will be announced at the end of each week.

Prepaid subscribers make up the majority of U Mobile’s 4 million strong subscriber base, and the program looks to reward subscribers for their loyalty and trust towards the brand. Partnering 7-Eleven is a highly strategic move, attributed to the large 7-Eleven network, which translates to high accessibility and convenience for customers. The 7-Eleven networks spans 1,420 outlets and kiosk across the country.

Every top-up worth RM30 and above reload from any 7-Eleven store will automatically qualify U Mobile prepaid subscribers for the Samsung GALAXY S4 or GALAXY Y prize.

The reward program is just one of numerous customer rewards and loyalty programs run by the young telco. U Mobile also recently announced a partnership with KakaoTalk and WeChat, two highly popular messaging apps in the market today. With the partnership, U Mobile prepaid users on the Unlimited Mobile Internet (UMI) plan will enjoy free data for KakaoTalk and WeChat. U Mobile is the first player in the local mobile industry to strike a partnership with KakaoTalk and WeChat.
