TEDxKL 2015 set to inspire with “Infinity and Beyond” on 8 August

It just gets bigger every year. In its seventh iteration, the inspiring TEDxKL 2015 returns on 8 August to bring you bright, bold ideas and limitless possibilities. This year’s theme is “Infinity and Beyond” – expect it to be mindblowingly awesome and an eclectic mix of local and international speakers.

I’ve attended several TEDxKL conferences, including the previous year’s – the baby of official TEDTalks events that you watch on the web. From its humble beginnings, TEDxKL has blossomed into the biggest TEDx event in Asia. There was an excess of 2,000 attendees last year, and this year, TEDxKL expects a number close to 3,500 people.

If you’re unaware, TEDx is a localised, self-organised event that brings people to share a TED-like experience covering subjects of Technology, Entertainment and Design.

The line-up of speakers is usually a clever blend of local and international personalities – people who push the boundaries of possibilities, be it through talent, genius, passion or hard work.

Other notables include Irshad Mubarak, banker turned naturalist who founded Natural History Tours; critically-acclaimed cultural dancer Datuk Ramli Ibrahim; Prof. Adrian Cheok, inventor and Professor of Pervasive Computing; local film director James Lee, singer-songwriter Juwita Suwito and more.

You’ll be in for a treat, I’m guessing, as the power-packed line-up should not only entertain but educate and inspire you.
