At the closing of Level Up KL 2019, Southeast Asia’s largest and premier games festival, YB Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia announced the ministry’s partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SIE WWS) to establish the global games’ powerhouse first Southeast Asia studio in Malaysia. The move reinforces the country’s position as the games industry hub in the region.

LEVEL UP KL, the annual Southeast Asia games industry event led by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) returns for the fourth year with the ambition to grow the games industry in the region, anchored on the theme “Beyond Entertainment.”
LEVEL UP KL 2017 conference is back and is set to scorch Bangsar South later this month. The annual games and creative content conference promises to be bigger and better, with the goal of making Malaysia the games hub of Southeast Asia.
