Switch drops price of old iPad to MYR1,369

Out with the old, in with the new. With the coming of the new 2018 iPad, it’s only natural for the older generation to drop in price. The cheaper new iPad may not be officially available in Malaysia yet, but Apple Premium Reseller Switch has taken the liberty to drop the price of the current one.

Call it clearing stock, I’d call it a pretty good deal.

The outgoing 5th generation iPad 9.7-inch 32GB is now MYR1,369. To recap, it features a familiar 9.7-inch Retina Display, Apple A9 chipset, 8MP rear camera, FaceTime HD camera, TouchID, Wi-Fi (or Wi-Fi + Cellular), 10-hour battery life, stereo speakers and runs iOS 11.

The new 6th generation iPad isn’t a giant leap in design or specs, but it does have one clear advantage—Apple Pencil support. If you don’t need a stylus, the old iPad would do just fine.

Switch quotes 3-5 working days for delivery if you buy online. As an alternative, you can walk into one of their outlets and pick one up.
