After its introduction at MWC17 in Barcelona, Sony Mobile has brought its latest Xperia XZs flagship and mid-range Xperia XA1 smartphones to Malaysia. Both products are available for pre-order exclusively from 11street, starting 29 March 2017.
The Xperia XZs left mouths agape in Barcelona with its super advanced Motion Eye camera system. Being one of the first Xperia smartphones to use the memory stacked Exmor RS sensor, it delivers 5x faster image scanning and data transfer.
The new camera system enables the XZs to shoot at 960fps, delivering super slow-motion playback that’s 4x slower than conventional smartphones. This needs to be seen to believed.
Next, there’s Predictive Capture that automatically buffers and shoots images even before you press the shutter button. It shoots four shots before and four shots after you press the shutter button, so you’ll never miss capturing a moment.
The new 19MP sensor also has 19% larger pixels to capture more light and detail, even in low-light conditions.
The camera also includes enhanced SteadyShot – a 5-axis electronic image stabilisation system.
Additionally, it gets a triple image sensing setup that includes laser autofocus and an RGBC-IR sensor.
The XZs comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD display, integrated into the loop surface design with ALKALEIDO metal back.
The flagship device also includes IP68 dust- and water-resistance, as well as a fingerprint scanner built into the power button.
The XZs uses a Snapdragon 820 processor, bundled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The front is a 13MP f/2.0 shooter.
It’s somewhat of an incremental update to the XZ, and features the same 2,900mAh battery with Qnovo Adaptive Charging.
Together with the Xperia XZs, Sony also launched the mid-range Xperia XA1.
