In less than 24 hours, I’ll have my race helmet, gloves and shoes on, and battling it out with 1.6 and 1.8 Honda Civics, Satria GTIs and more at Ignition.my’s Saturday Night Fever Challenge Series Round 1. I’ll be racing in my cousin’s 1983 4AG-powered Toyota LE. The event is based on 2 heats, with each heat covering 5 laps each. A maximum of 16 cars will be battling for honours in each heat.

I’ve never raced at night before so this is going to be a new experience. I’ll be sure to keep you updated via tweets (I wish I’d have time for live blogging, but…) and will have a ContourHD cam in my car to capture some in-car race action, so stay tuned. Wish me good luck!
