You can now use your Boost e-wallet via Samsung Pay

Samsung Malaysia Electronics has partnered Axiata Digital eCode to offer the Boost e-wallet as one of the payment options in Samsung Pay.

With the new integration with Boost, Samsung Pay users can now easily make cashless payments with merchants and small business owners without a physical credit, debit, or even prepaid card. This complements support for loyalty cards as well as major payment card networks such as Visa, Mastercard, and AMEX.

Samsung Pay is an all-in-one mobile payment platform that is secure and easy to use. Because of its unique two-prong approach offering both Near-Field Communication (NFC) and patented Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) technology, Samsung Pay can be used virtually everywhere. Simply swipe up (even on a locked home screen) and tap supported Galaxy smartphones or wearables on any contactless payment terminal.

Peace of mind is assured thanks to Samsung Knox, digital tokenisation and biometric authentication.

What’s great for customers is that they can enjoy an array of deals and rewards such as Samsung Reward Points and Boost Coins when they transact with Boost QR payment within the Samsung Pay app.

Since its establishment in 2017, Boost has grown to over 7.4 million users and 160,000 merchant partners nationwide.

Here is how to get set up with Boost on Samsung Pay

• Step 1: Install Samsung Pay and sign in to your Samsung Account
• Step 2: Register your fingerprint or iris and create a 4-digit PIN to secure your payment
• Step 3: Add Boost QR card by registering for a new account or link your existing Boost account
• Step 4: Add money with credit/debit cards or via online banking. Upgrade to Premium wallet for higher limit.
• Step 5: Scan QR to launch your camera to scan QR code for payment
• Step 6: Show your QR code and authenticate with fingerprint or Boost PIN to make payment or receive money

Samsung Pay x Boost QR payment launch promotion

Stand a chance to win Samsung devices and Samsung Reward Points with the Samsung Pay x Boost QR payment launch promo contest. This runs from 21 May until 30 June 2020.

You can submit one answer only throughout the contest period. All you need to do is make a minimum of five QR payment transactions to gain one entry to the contest. Upon completing the required number of QR payment transactions, you will receive a 10-digit unique code in the Samsung Pay app. A minimum spend of MYR5 for each QR payment transaction is required (excluding top-ups, refunds and peer-to-peer transfers).

You can complete as many QR payment transaction to gain more entry vouchers throughout the contest period.

Contestants will be shortlisted based on the unique code and the best answer for the contest question. Shortlisted contestants will need to submit proof of QR payment transaction history in the Samsung Pay app. Each contestant is entitled to win one prize only.
