At the grand launch of the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge in Malaysia, Samsung Malaysia also introduced its Galaxy Butler Service. Targeted at its flagship devices, the ‘butler service’ is a personalized care package that’ll give customers added convenience and peace of mind.
Not unlike the Personalised Pick-up Service introduced last year with the Galaxy S6, the Galaxy Butler Service has seven key features.
First up, it offers a 24/7 Premium Careline which gives you access to round-the-clock phone support. While Samsung didn’t provide details during the launch, I presume it’s the same as the current Samsung Careline at 1-800-88-7799.
Next, onsite pickup and delivery service is available in case you’re unable to drop off your Galaxy device to a service centre.
At the service centre, you’ll enjoy Priority Express Counter service as well as a one-hour turnaround for repairs.
What’s interesting is ‘Remote Management Remotely,’ where a Samsung customer service staff can access your device to troubleshoot, remotely. Details are sketchy at the moment, and there are initial privacy concerns, but I’ll be sure to update this post once I get more information.
‘Smart Switch’ is a back-up and migrate service for customers who are upgrading or switching devices.
Finally, the premium care package also offers a 7-point check-up for your phone to ensure it runs optimally.
The Galaxy Butler Service is available for free to all owners of the Galaxy S7 edge and other flagship Galaxy devices.
The question is: Will they also make you coffee while you wait?
