Zero-rated GST: Proton cars up to MYR15K cheaper with promo

In response to the new government’s move to zero-rate GST on 1 June, PROTON announced that it would give its customers service vouchers or instant cash rebates that are of equivalent value to the difference between pre- and post-GST prices of its cars. This is applicable to all Proton cars bought and registered between 16 May to 31 May 2018. The great thing is, it supplements other sales promotions as well.

Without 6% GST, you stand to save MYR3,874 on a new Proton Saga 1.3 MT Standard, all the way up to a whopping MYR15,172 (inclusive of promo cash discount) on the Suprima S which is a 21 percent savings over its nett selling price (NSP).

Note that the Suprima S offer is valid for YM2017 models only. Without the cash discount, the car is MYR4,384 cheaper with the GST rebate.

PROTON is also running a Kosong-kosong promotion, making it an excellent time to buy a PROTON car. Buyers who of the Proton Iriz (Executive and Premium), Proton Ertiga (all variants) and Proton Exora (all variants) who sign up with Hong Leong Bank will receive 0% financing for the first year.

Additionally, customer who buy a Proton Saga or Proton Persona will receive free three-months instalment if they finance via PROTON Commerce.

That’s not all, PROTON is also extending the zero-rated GST offer to all authorised PROTON service centres. Customers will get a 6% discount for labour and periodical maintenance parts wooohen they send in their cars for service.

For more information, visit the nearest PROTON showroom or call their Customer Care hotline at 1-800-8398 or email PROTON at [email protected].
