Zero-rated GST: Proton cars up to MYR15K cheaper with promo

PROTON Car

In response to the new government’s move to zero-rate GST on 1 June, PROTON announced that it would give its customers service vouchers or instant cash rebates that are of equivalent value to the difference between pre- and post-GST prices of its cars. This is applicable to all Proton cars bought and registered between 16 May to 31 May 2018. The great thing is, it supplements other sales promotions as well.

Without 6% GST, you stand to save MYR3,874 on a new Proton Saga 1.3 MT Standard, all the way up to a whopping MYR15,172 (inclusive of promo cash discount) on the Suprima S which is a 21 percent savings over its nett selling price (NSP).

Note that the Suprima S offer is valid for YM2017 models only. Without the cash discount, the car is MYR4,384 cheaper with the GST rebate.
