Looks like Huawei is on the offensive. Both on the competition and GST. Following the excellent Honor 3C, Honor 6 and Honor 3C Lite, the latest Honor 4X is coming to Malaysia — the 5.5-inch device is packed with feature-packed boasting a 64-bit octa-core Kirin620 chipset, 2GB RAM, 13MP BSI rear camera and 5MP front camera, dual-LTE and a large 3000mAh battery. All in an incredible 7.9mm thin form factor. And what really pushes the envelope (and also shows how serious Huawei wants the piece of pie) is the price. How much? RM619.
I’ve been playing around with the Honor 4X for two weeks, a China-sourced version with an English-language ROM. It’s similarly spec-ed although it was sans the official full retail box.
I’ve come out impressed, especially at the price point. In initial stages, I was told the pricing would be circa RM700, but it seems that Huawei’s poised for a killing and decided to bring the price point down further. Big win for consumers.
You can pre-order a unit now, exclusively from Vmall.my, Huawei’s official e-commerce store — at RM619. Your order will be shipped starting 18 April 2015. Available in white and black.
You’ll also get a protective cover, protective film and black flip cover.
