Malaysian Samsung fans are a lucky lot. Just a few days after the new Galaxy S9 and S9+ were unpacked in Barcelona, Samsung Malaysia is opening pre-order books for the devices starting today. You could get your hands on the device as early as next Friday, 8 March 2018.
The Galaxy S9 model has a single option, which is with 64GB of storage and it retails at MYR3,299.
Its bigger sibling, the Galaxy S9+ however has three storage options: 64GB, 128GB and 256GB going at MYR3,799, MYR3,999 and MYR4,399 respectively.
The 64GB and 128GB units are available in Midnight Black, Coral Blue and new Lilac Purple. For the top rung Galaxy S9+ 256GB model, only Midnight Black is available.
Sadly, for pre-orders this time round, Samsung isn’t offering any cash rebates or discounts.
However, it is throwing in a free Harman Kardon Onyx Mini wireless Bluetooth speaker worth MYR699 whilst stocks last.
Samsung is also offering 0% interest instalments for selected credit cards.
For those who are looking to upgrade, Samsung is offering a Trade Up program where you can trade-in your existing device.
The value of your old device is determined by Ingram Micro Malaysia Sdn Bhd. Trade-ins can be at participating Samsung authorised dealers and partners, from 9 March till 30 April 2018.

The pre-order starts today, 1 March 2018 and will run until 11:59PM on Sunday, 4 March 2018.
For pre-orders online at Samsung Malaysia’s website, you’ll need to place a MYR300 deposit, then pay the balance during the collection of the device.
Pre-ordered devices can be collected between 9 to 15 March 2018. The Galaxy S9 and S9+ will officially hit Malaysian retail channels on 16 March 2018.
Other retail partners like Harvey Norman, Senheng, SenQ, 11Street, Lazada and Shopee will also be offering pre-orders, so do look out for them. You can expect telcos to join in with respective telco plans soon.
