OPPO today launched its latest flagship device in Malaysia – the big and bold OPPO R9s Plus. Following the success of the smaller OPPO R9s, and “Selfie Expert” F1 series, the OPPO R9s Plus brings even bigger features to the plate.

The grand launch was graced by OPPO ambassadors Ayda Jebat and Min Chen.

Photo enthusiasts are going to delighted with the powerful 16MP IMX398 main shooter, co-developed with Sony. This is coupled with a superfast f/1.7 aperture lens. Together, they let in 40% more light than previous generation camera sensors. Taking this even further is the addition of OIS+, its new optical image stabilisation system that has a 40% anti-shake area than conventional OIS.

The camera comes with dual PDAF technology, a next-generation upgrade from current PDAF solutions. Dual PDAF increases the sensor’s pixel array by 100%, allowing for lightning-fast focusing. Yes, even in low light.

On the front, there’s an equally impressive 16MP selfie camera with beautification features.

Under the hood, the R9s Plus is powered by a 1.95Ghz octa-core Snapdragon 653, coupled with a whopping 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. If you find that insufficient, add more via microSD.

The R9s Plus gets a 6-inch Full HD display and a massive 4,000mAh battery that supports VOOC Charge. Just a 15-minute charge will give you a full day’s worth of juice.

The device runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with the snappy Color OS 3.0 on top.
