Slated for an August debut, the OPPO F9 continues to be teased by OPPO on its social channels. The latest teaser showcases the OPPO F9 in a stunning red and purple gradient colourway with a flower petal pattern.
A day earlier, OPPO showed off the new minimalist notch design on the display of its upcoming phone. Certainly the smallest I’ve seen on any device when it debuts, in line with the Essential Phone and the Wiko View2 Pro. OPPO is calling the new notched display a “waterdrop screen.” The smartphone maker describes the screen as “a breaking new Vision Experience for you.”
Every sunrise symbolizes the start of another day. The OPPO F9 Sunrise Red, brings you a gradient with a twist, a mixture of purple and red with flower petal pattern.

Rumours have also been brewing about the OPPO F9 offering IP67 dust- and water-resistance. If true, this would be the first OPPO device to offer this rating.
The tiny notch would maximise the display somewhat, although that also means will not have the sophisticated 3D cameras and cluster of sensors on the OPPO Find X and the iPhone X.
Details of the device remain sketchy at this point. Clues do point to a dual-camera system, MediaTek Helio P60 processor and VOOC rapid charging.
OPPO is expected to reveal three variants of the OPPO F9. Stay tuned for updates.
