A minor update for the flagship Nokia Lumia 1520 has been made available OTA in the US and Europe.  The new version for the U.S. is 1028.3534.1347.2001. In Europe, the new version is 1028.3562.1402.00xx. It is not yet available in Malaysian shores upon quick checking.

The official change log for the update lists “ General fixes and improvements (General performance and usability improvements)”, which isn’t much to go on.

The Lumia 1520 is Nokia’s top-of-the-line smartphone, with specs rivalling those of the Android world – sporting a quad-core 2.2Ghz Snapdragon 800 processor, 20MP PureView camera and more.

My Lumia 1520 unit has performed well overall but does have a few niggling bugs:

  1. Camera app crashes intermittently, causing restarts.
  2. Lockscreen jumps up and down after double-tapping from sleep mode, unable to enter passcode.
  3. Lockscreen screen anomaly with over-saturated colours.
  4. In several instances, strange vertical lines appeared on display.

My Lumia 1520 currently runs firmware version 1028.3534.1343.0003

Do you own a Lumia 1520? Encountered any bugs and performance issues lately? Has the firmware update appeared on your phone? Comment below.
