Kuala Lumpur, 20 June 2012 – APAC Venture Sdn Bhd, gave us a treat today at Zouk Club, Kuala Lumpur. Over 200 bloggers, journalists, media and guests were treated to a free flow of drinks, food and entertainment throughout the night. The night had its purpose though and it was there, APAC announced and launched AVAST‘s new and improved version 7 and also announced their collaboration with China’s largest internet service provider Tencent, launching their new social app WeChat in Malaysia.
NIKE has announced the launch of the Nike+ Running App for Android, reaching out to more runners outside of their crop of NIKE+ users on iOS. The world’s largest running club will give an opportunity to more athletes to experience NIKE+. Exciting news for all running enthusiasts out there!

In an effort to continuously encourage the adoption of an eco-friendly lifestyle, WWF-Malaysia (World Wide Fund for Nature Malaysia) has collaborated with Microsoft Malaysia (Microsoft) and Microsoft Student Partner, Pun Soong Teck (aka TC Pun) to bring you the “Earth Hour Malaysia” app for the Windows Phone that will serve to create environmental awareness and also function as a platform for Malaysians to pledge their support WWF-Malaysia’s ‘Live Green’ initiatives. This comes fresh from the success of Earth Hour 2012.
So years after the perennial social photography app Instagram literally conquered the iOS space, it has finally (insert exasperation here…) come to the realms of the green robot. IMHO, i consider Instagram the one principal reason why I’d buy an iPhone.

Research In Motion just announced that BBM (BlackBerry Messenger), one of the largest mobile social networks in the world with 35 million users, the launch of BBM version 6 (BBM 6). The new version brings support for “BBM connected” apps which allows users to interact with each other from within apps like games, social and information-based apps.
