Everyone’s favourite taxi booking service, MyTeksi, will be doing its bit to spread joy and unite the nation by delivering ‘happy packages’ to passengers. The initiative is part of their #malaysiansunite campaign and it kicks off today (24 July 2014).

MyTeksi will be giving away free 200 ‘happy packages’ with specially-designed button badges with the hashtag #malaysiansunite proudly emblazoned on them.

The campaign is to bolster public morale and promote unity, especially in these trying times. Beverage company Permanis Sdn Bhd has generously sponsored 1,500 Revive isotonic drinks to be part of the packages.

The two-day campaign runs from 24-25 July in the Klang Valley.

MyTeksi Sdn Bhd Regional Head of Marketing Cheryl Goh said, “We want to rally Malaysians together to be able to heal and move forward as a united nation. It’s spread a little happiness that our passengers can share with their friends. We are only as strong as we are united.”

To particpate, MyTeksi users need to select ‘#malaysiansunite’ in the Car Type, which will be available in the app on Thursday an Friday only. Passengers will need to key in the delivery address. Upon confirmation, a MyTeksi driver will deliver the ‘happy packages’ to the address with no charges. Packages are based on a first come first served basis and bookings are available from 10am till 5pm.

Recipients of the special ‘happy packages’ are encouraged to share photos and their experience on social media channels. Use the hashtag #malaysiansunite and tag @MyTeksi.

In January, MyTeksi also delivered happiness to 2,000 children in underserved communities.

Kudos for making a difference.
