How’s this for an anti-climactic end to what should have been Samsung’s most exciting device launch in 2018? In Malaysia, it’s called potong stim. Well, surprise, the Galaxy S9 is now out in the open—the launch video that is.
Samsung is unpacking its flagship Galaxy S9 and S9+ this Monday in Barcelona, but that hasn’t stopped numerous leaks from flooding the net.
Already, we’ve seen official leaked high-resolution images, but this video takes the cake.
It’s no surprise that the Galaxy S9 and S9+ are all about the camera. The all-new variable aperture camera is THE NEXT BEST THING, and likely to set the trend for others this season. Much like what Apple did with animoji and FaceID (as well as that notch).
If you’ve noticed, the camera is in a vertical layout, and Samsung has come to its senses with the fingerprint scanner, now centralised below the rear camera.
The video also showcases a couple of other interesting things about Samsung’s new flagship—Bixby Live Translation, which can translate text live with your camera, augmented reality and the new Samsung DeX Pad.
The big unveil will happen at 1:00AM MYT, Monday, 26 February 2018.
You can catch the live stream of the launch at www.samsung.com/my.
