Meizu M6 Note storms in to Malaysia for MYR899

cof

After introducing the intriguing double-screen Meizu Pro 7 in Malaysia, Meizu is bringing another value-packed device to consumers. This time, it’s the Meizu M6 Note, the brand’s first device powered by a Snapdragon chipset. The 5.5-inch device also boasts a dual-camera setup, and large 4,000mAh battery with fast charge. Best of all, the device costs under MYR1,000.

The Meizu M6 Note is powered by an octa-core 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor mated to an Adreno 506 GPU. Meizu has traditionally used MediaTek processors across its product range, and it’s the first time it has engaged the services of a Qualcomm chipset.

The mid-ranger offers ample 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. A higher range 4GB + 64GB storage model will come soon.

Its metal-crafted body houses a bright 5.5-inch Full HD (1920×1080) LPTS display that boasts a contrast ratio of 1000:1.

Meizu’s famed mBack button on the front functions as a super fast fingerprint sensor that unlocks the device in just 0.2 seconds. The sensor also supports AliPay fingerprint payment.

The device isn’t shabby in the photography department either. The dual-camera setup combines a 12MP Sony IMX362 sensor with a f/1.9 aperture wide-angle lens; with a 5MP Samsung 2L7 secondary sensor.

The cameras offer PDAF, full pixel dual-core focus with up to 0.03s autofocus speed.

It also comes with a dual-core temperature 4-LED flash.

On the front, the M6 Note packs a 16MP f/2.0 wide aperture selfie camera boosted by beautification algorithm by Arcsoft.

Within its lithe body is a massive 4,000mAh battery that Meizu claims can deliver up to 10 hours of gameplay.

Surprisingly at this price point, the device supports fast charging, coming with an mCharge 18W fast charger.

The device runs Flyme 6 OS with Meizu’s One Mind AI based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat. What’s One Mind AI? Hope to find out more about this from Meizu  execs.

The dual-SIM device is offered in four colour options: Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, Blue and Obsidian Black.
