Maxis today announced three more unique perks to its MaxisONE customers — limitless streaming and free access to Spotify Premium, freedom to cast content to your TV with Chromecast and sharing limitless text/voice and data quota with the MaxisONE Share plan. Phew, that was a long sentence (but with good reason).
Malaysia’s #1 telco has been driving the point of “worry-free” and “no bill shocks” messages lately, and today’s announcement is an extension of its value proposition for the MaxisONE plan.
The response to the MaxisONE Plan introduced last year has exceeded expectations, with over 400,000 subscribers jumping onboard since.
“Today’s event is not just a launch of three very compelling offerings, but importantly shows that there is much more you can do with your devices, and there is much more you get in this limitless world of MaxisONE,” said Dushyan Vaithiyanathan, Maxis’ Head of Consumer Business.

If you’re a Spotify (Free) user, then perhaps it’s time to go Premium. With the MaxisONE Plan and #MusicNow, you’ll get to listen online/offline and download songs for free with Spotify Premium. That means no ads, restrictions, fees or additional data charges. This is valid till 31 July 2015. All you need is a 1GB or above Maxis or Hotlink Mobile Internet Plan. You can enable this from the MyMaxis App.

It’s probably not the first time you’ve heard about Google’s Chromecast, the thumbdrive-sized device that lets you stream content from your internet-enabled device to any TV. Chromecast was previously only available from the Google Play store in selected countries, or through parallel importers. You’ll find them going for RM250-RM300.
The good news is that Maxis is the first to officially bring in the Chromecast to Malaysia. The plug-and-play device gives you access to YouTube channels, full-length movies, games, videos and photos. There’s also premium paid channels if you so wish.
MaxisONE Plan customers can get Chromecast for just RM150 (otherwise RM170). Available exclusively at Maxis Centres nationwide for four months, sales of the Chromecast is open to public as well.

As they say sharing is caring. If you’re on the MaxisONE Plan with limitless text/talk to any mobile or fixed line, you can now share it with friends/family. You’re also able to allocate shared data quota. All you need to do is sign up for a 1GB data add-on. It will cost RM48 per line per month for MaxisOne Share.
