LG’s new QHD gaming monitors boast up to 240Hz with G-Sync

LG gaming monitors

LG has chosen IFA 2017 in Berlin to be the launchpad for its latest 32- and 27-inch gaming monitors. The GK-series boasts refresh rates of 144Hz (overclockable to 165Hz) and 240Hz.

LG 32GK850G

If you need super crisp, super smooth visuals on a large display, then the 32-inch 32GK850G will be your best bet. It delivers silky smooth gameplay thanks to NVIDIA G-Sync, with a maximum brightness of 350 nits on its QHD (2560×1440) panel.

The monitor also has Sphere Lighting, a set of LEDs behind the unit to create soft ambient lighting. Aside from adding a touch of beauty to the monitor, it also increases immersiveness of games, and reduces eye fatigue.

The monitor uses some added software wizardry to increase contrast, something LG calls Black Stabiliser. It also has Dynamic Action Sync that comes into play to minimise input lag, so you’ll be able to react even faster to action.

A built-in on-screen GUI lets you easily customise modes or tweak settings to suit different type of games.

The one-click stand design lets you install without tools, and also allows you to modify tilt, height, swivel and pivot angle with ease.

LG 27GK750F

The 27-inch 27GK750F monitor, on the other hand, delivers just as impressive smooth gameplay with a high 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms Motion Blur Reduction. It also supports AMD FreeSync for smooth, tear-free gameplay.

It includes handy built-in features like Black Stabiliser, Dynamic Action Sync and Crosshair. Crosshair puts a target in the center of the monitor to enhance accuracy in FPS games. Eat that, suckers.

LG @ IFA 2017

At IFA 2017, LG also showcased its stunning 34-inch UltraWide gaming monitor (model 34UC89G) with its expansive 21:9 aspect ratio. This monitor supports NVIDIA G-Sync and 144Hz refresh rate (overclockable to 166Hz) to maximize the experience for all gaming genres.
