If you’re looking for an iPhone but don’t need the latest and greatest, this “giler” deal may tickle your fancy. U Mobile is offering the iPhone 6 32GB for just MYR599 with its GX50 Giler Unlimited plan.
Sure, it’s an old model from Apple’s mobile stable of devices. But hey, it works, and it will run the latest version of iOS. And with the GX50 Giler Unlimited Postpaid plan it’s a super affordable option at MYR599.
The GIler Unlimited GX50 Postpaid plan was introduced together with the GX30 Prepaid plan in June this year. and they offer some crazy goodies including unlimited data for music and videos, social messaging and social networks, mobile games and more. All-day, all-week.
The GX50 specifically, gives you unlimited data for all apps, unlimited calls (all networks) and 5GB of free hotspot data. The plan costs MYR50 per month.
iPhone 6
Now back to the iPhone 6. With a 24-month GX50 contract, the iPhone 6 32GB can be yours for as low as MYR599. This applies to existing U Mobile customers or those who are switching plans. For new customers, the iPhone will cost MYR699.
If you find the GX50 too limiting then you can opt for an Unlimited Hero P79 plan that costs MYR79 per month. The plan offers 20GB of high-speed data, unlimited music and video streaming, and unlimited calls. The device then costs MYR399 (for existing and switch U Mobile customers).
Moving up a notch, there’s the Unlimited Hero P99 plan at MYR99 per month. This ultimate plan gives you unlimited data without any speed caps, 3GB of Roam-Onz data, 30GB of hotspot data and unlimited voice calls. With the plan, you can take home the iPhone for just MYR99.
Note that for all plans there is upfront payment of MYR384 (GX50: MYR16 x 24 months), MYR576 (P79: MYR24 x 24 months) or MYR864 (P99: MYR36 x 24 months). This will be rebated back to your account across 24 months. For existing customers who meet eligibility criteria, upfront payment will be waived upon registration.
iPhone 6s Plus
OK, so the 4.7-inch Retina Display is a little too small for you? Well, there’s also the iPhone 6s Plus, which IMHO, still holds its own to this day. You’ll get a bigger 5.5-inch Retina Display and a bigger battery too.
