iPad 2. Arriving in 25 More Countries this Friday.

As promised, Apple will make available the high-demand iPad 2 to 25 countries this Friday, March 25 including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK. The iPad 2 is a runaway success, looking at how Apple sold 500,000 units in 3 days during its US launch.

“While competitors are still struggling to catch up with our first iPad, we’ve changed the game again with iPad 2,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We’re experiencing amazing demand for iPad 2 in the US, and customers around the world have told us they can’t wait to get their hands on it. We appreciate everyone’s patience and we are working hard to build enough iPads for everyone.”

No word on availability in Malaysia yet. As Apple’s third rate citizens, we would definitely have to wait till at least end of the year before we even have a whiff of the A5-powered device whilst neighbours Singapore, Hong Kong and other countries will get it in April. Big boo! For those with deep pockets and the undying need to show-off as an early adopter, Low Yat and other online channels like Lelong and eBay would be great sources for the overpriced tablet.

Anyone off to the US any time soon?
