HTC One X9: HTC’s silky all-metal mid-range smartphone

Hot on the heels of the flagship HTC 10, is the latest member of the award-winning HTC One family–the HTC One X9. The new mid-range smartphone features a unique, silky metal finish and comes in two colours–Topaz Gold and Carbon Gray.

The design is unmistakably HTC One, with a glass curved front and a side profile of only 7.59mm. It’s slender yet features a large 5.5-inch Full HD Super LCD display that supports personalized colour modes for optimum viewing pleasure.

Powering the device is a MediaTek MT6795 Helio X10 processor mated to 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage.

The dual-SIM 4G LTE device has a dedicated micro-SD slot that supports storage expansion of up to 256GB.

Like every other HTC One device, HTC touts the camera quality which it claims is best in its class. The main shooter is a 13MP f/2.0 unit with second-generation Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Real-time anti-shake functionality.

On the front, it gets a 5MP f/2.8 selfie camera with integrated Auto Selfie, Voice Selfie and Live Make Up features.

As a plus, it also supports captures in RAW format, giving you advanced manual control in Pro Mode.

The camera also supports 4K video capture and Hyperlapse mode for dramatic time-lapse effects.

The much-love HTC BoomSound with Dolby Surround is standard feature–giving you uncompromising audio quality and listening pleasure.

HTC One X9

Battery life is rated at up to 15 hours of talktime on 3G, from its built-in non-removable 3,000mAh battery.

The One X9 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HTC Sense 8 on top.

Pricing and availability

The HTC One X9 retails for MYR1,499 (incl. GST) and will be available at all HTC stores and authorized retail stores starting August 2016.
