HP plans to bring even more webOS-powered devices in the coming months, with the TouchPad spearheading its efforts. An extensive, intensive advertising campaign featuring comedian Russell Brand, WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao and Lea Michele, star of hit TV show Glee is on the way to ensure maximum exposure for the exciting new tablet.

HP acquired Palm and its assets last year, in a deal worth $1.2 billion. The polished, intuitive Palm-developed webOS has plenty of potential to give current tablet King, the iPad, a run for its money, at least in terms of user experience. webOS features true multitasking, full support for Adobe® Flash® Player.6,7 and the innovative “Touch to Share” feature (think “Bump”).

I’ve always been a Palm supporter, and way back in the PDA days I owned a Palm V & Handspring. Always considered it the next best thing to Apple’s Newton. Can’t wait to get a taste of the HP TouchPad soon!
