HP presents latest key innovations to Malaysians

Kuala Lumpur, March 26, 2013 – HP showcased their new line of innovative products today at Garibaldi Italian Restaurant & Bar, Bangsar Village 1. The new line includes several items, including their first Hybrid PC the HP ENVY x2, new printing technologies encased in the new Officejet Pro 476dn Multifunction Printer, a business focused tablet, HP ElitePad 900 and the touchscreen HP EliteBook Revolve.

Kicking off the event was Mr. Kim Dae Hwan, Country General Manager, Printing and Personal Systems, HP Malaysia followed by Ms. Low Wai Mun, Country Category Manager, Printing and Personal Systems, with their opening addresses touching on the long history HP in the IT industry. “The products today are inspired by our customers, and confirm our passion to fuse form, function, style and reliability into great computers and printers,” said Mr. Kim Dae Hwan, during the press conference.

HP ENVY x2

The main highlight of the event, the HP ENVY x2 is described as a new category in the market, dubbed the Hybrid PC which consists of a laptop that doubles as a tablet. The HP ENVY x2, features a detachable screen which can be separated from the keyboard via a seamless magnetic latch. The 11.6′ device is equipped with a HD touch display, Beats Audio, a 8MP HD Webcam and is NFC capable. The HP ENVY x2 is available for RM2,599.

HP ElitePad 900

Described as the “true tablet for business”, the HP ElitePad 900 combines style, performance and durability into a single device. With military grade durability for drops, vibration, dust, temperature extremes and high altitude, it’s also ultra thin and weights approximately 600g, making it one of the lightest tablets out there. The ElitePad 900 also features an optional HP ElitePad Smart Jacket which adds connectivity options and increases battery life along with additional features and add-ons for specialized uses. The ElitePad 900 is priced at RM 2,499.

HP EliteBook Revolve

The EliteBook Revolve is a third-generation Intel® Core™ processor powered laptop, with the ability to pivot its screen to hide its keyboard, to be used as a tablet. Optimized for Windows 8, the EliteBook aims to provide incredible performance and visuals of a full powered laptop alongside the flexibility of assuming the role of a tablet when needed. The 11.6′ inch laptop features a 720p HD camera, dual-microphone array and DTS Sound for times when webcam sessions are needed. It’s driven by a 256 SSD, USB3.0 slots and a display port. Price and availability will be announced at a later date for this model.

HP Officejet Pro X476dn Multifunction Printer

Powered by HP’s new HP PageWide Technology, the HP Officejet Pro is now the world’s fastest desktop printer, able to print up to 70 high quality pages per minute. This new printer prints up to twice the speed and half the printing cost of a laser printer. The Hp PageWide technology delivers 4 colours of Original HP pigment ink at one time onto a moving sheet of paper, while the printhead remains stationary. Two models will be made available to Malaysia, which are the HP Officejet Pro X476 MFPs and the HP Officejet Pro X451 at prices of RM2,199 and RM1,599 respectively.
