Samsung Galaxy A Seriss (2017)

Samsung is starting the new year with a bang. The Korean tech giant is set to unveil its new Galaxy A Series (2017) on 5 January. Not wasting any time, it will open the Galaxy A5 and A7 for pre-orders starting 6 January at 10.00AM, till 15 January 2017.

The Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 will retail at MYR1,699 and MYR1,899 respectively. As part of the pre-order sale, pre-order buyers will receive a free Samsung Level U Pro wireless headphone (worth MYR399).

The new Galaxy A Series continues the premium design and build of the previous generation. However, it now boasts IP68-rated dust- and water-resistance, a first-ever in this range.

The Galaxy A5 features a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display with a 3D glass back. It sports a 1.9GHz Exynos octa-core ship coupled with 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. It supports microSD expansion and is a dual-SIM (market dependent) device.

In the camera department, it gets impressive 16MP f/1.9 shooters on the front and the back.

It also comes with a fingerprint sensor that’s built into the home button.

Keeping it juiced all day is a large 3,000mAh battery.

The bigger Galaxy A7 sports a 5.7-inch Full HD AMOLED display and is powered by the same Exynos processor as the A5.

It shares much of its underpinnings with the A5, except that it has a bigger 3,600mAh battery that supports fast charging.

Pre-order starts 6 January

The pre-order promo is limited to a first-come-first-serve basis, and while allocated stocks last.
