Fujifilm has released the instax mini 70 – a new addition to its instax mini series of instant cameras that output credit card-sized prints instantly. The new colourful Instax Mini 70 now includes a ‘Selfie’ mode, that’s complemented by a built-in selfie mirror.
The new instant camera is sleeker, smaller and comes in three new colours – Canary Yellow, Island Blue and Moon White. Fujifilm believes the new selfie-centric camera will have broad appeal with young women, as well as men in their 20s and 30s.
In Fujifilm’s Instax product portfolio, the instax mini 70 sits between the entry-level instax mini 50 and the stylish instax mini 90.
The instax mini 70 features several shooting modes for you to enjoy photography in different situations and environments. ‘Selfie’ mode automatically adjusts brightness and shooting distance for the perfect shot, while you can manually check framing via the front mirror.

There’s also a tripod mount feature in addition to a self-timer function that’s made for group shots. ‘Macro’ mode can be used to shoot objects as close as 30cm. ‘Landscape’ mode, on the other hand, is tailored for, you guessed it, landscape pictures.
Yoshitaka Nakamura, managing director of Fujifilm Malaysia said that while digital photography continues to be popular, there’s a recent resurgence in interest in analog photography.
Fujifilm revealed that sales of the Mini series cameras have been encouraging in Japan, East Asia, Europe and the US.
