EMUI 9.0 with Android Pie now available for Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro

Huawei EMUI 9

EMUI 9.0, the latest iteration of Huawei’s mobile operating system based on Android 9 Pie, is now available for the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro. The new update brings new UI enhancements, improved usability and user experience, and better performance.

With EMUI 9.0, Huawei is taking the nature route. The UI design incorporates charming pictures of nature with a dash of bold colours. You’ll also find soothing sounds of nature like birds chirping and water flowing.

But of course, isn’t just surface level enhancements, you’ll enjoy faster and smoother animation, and lag-free performance.

EMUI 9.0 brings with it a new and improved gesture-based navigation system which can be enabled for an even more intuitive navigation experience.

Huawei also believes less is more. From 940 possible settings in EMUI 8.0, the new update has reduced this number down to 843. For instance, you can enable all location services with touch, instead of enabling functions like GPS, WLAN and location services separately.

EMUI 9.0 is said to be 12.9 percent quicker and smoother than its predecessor. App launch time is improved, with popular apps like Instagram and Spotify launching 12 percent and 11 percent faster respectively.

One of the key features of EMUI 9.0 is GPU Turbo 2.0, the latest generation Huawei graphics processing acceleration technology.

GPU Turbo 2.0 enhances in game experience as well as works with App Assistant to deliver silky smooth gaming performance. The technology also reduces hot spot temperatures on screen by up to 3.6C.

EMUI 9.0 also brings handy features like Password Vault, Multiple Backups and Screen Time Management.
