Doogee X5max set to debut in Malaysia in June

Doogee X5max

China’s black sheep smartphone maker, Doogee, is set bring the successor to its Doogee X5, to Malaysia in June. When it debuted, the X5 claimed to be the world’s cheapest 5-inch smartphone. The new Doogee X5Max is set to continue the X5’s amazing performance-price ratio.

In terms of build, the X5max will come with a metal frame with a good-looking plastic back in either black or white. It tips the scales at 130g.

It will sport a fast fingerprint sensor with 360-degree identification. Up to five fingerprints can be saved, and the fingerprints can be used for seven different functions.

It will come with a 5-inch IPS HD display, and come powered by a quad-core MediaTek MTK6580 processor. It will pack 1GB of RAM with 8GB of storage.

Things get pretty impressive on the camera fun. Where it lacks in megapixels, it makes up for it with bigger 1.34um pixels mated to an impressive superfast f/1.8 aperture lens for its main shooter. On the front, the 2MP unit boasts f/2.0 with 1.4um pixels. On the software side, the camera support 36 beauty profiles for more beautiful selfies.

The X5max boasts a massive 4,000mAh battery that can deliver up to 2.5 days of battery life.

What’s also interesting is that the X5max has something called Dual-ID, where you can be logged on to two different accounts simultaneously – like two Facebook or Twitter accounts. You can use it to separate work from personal life.

The smartphone is a dual-SIM, 3G device and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
