Shenzhen-based Colorful, manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards, and computer components, has introduced its new line-up of AMD B550 mid-tier motherboards. The new motherboards boast 10-phase power design, support for PCI-Express 4.0, making them the first mid-tier motherboards to feature the next-generation PCIe Gen4. The new boards are designed for 3rd generation Ryzen 3000 Series processors, including the recently launched Ryzen 3000XT Series.
The Colorful AMD B550 motherboard line-up includes the CVN B550M Gaming Frozen V14, CVN B550M Gaming Pro V14, and Battle-Ax B550M-HD Pro V14.
Both the CVN B550M Gaming Frozen V14 and CVN B550M Gaming Pro V14 are top-tier models sharing the same features with the white-coloured Frozen model.
The motherboards sport a 10-power phase design alongside dual turbo m.2 slots with high-bandwidth PCIe Gen4 support. They also feature eye-catching RGB lighting powered by iGame Dynamik Light.
The new mATX boards come standard with Realtek 8111H Gigabit LAN, CVN Gigabit LAN Protection, and Realtek ALC892 8-CH HD audio chip.
Four memory slots support up to 128GB of DDR4 memory (up to 4,000MHz+ OC), while four SATA 6Gb/s ports complement the dual m.2 slots.
In terms of I/O ports, the boards offer a combination of USB 3.2 Gen1 ports (Type A and Type C) as well as USB 2.0 ports on the rear panel. Video output options include HDMI and DVI.

The Colorful CVN B550M Gaming Frozen V14, CVN B550M Gaming Pro V14 motherboards retail for USD126 (~MYR539) and USD121 (~MYR518), respectively. No pricing for the Battle-Ax at the moment.
