As you may know, ASUS is set to announce the new ZenFone 5 family at MWC 2018. The Taiwan tech company is rebooting its entry-level ZenFone 5 series with some uprated specs including “Full View” 18:9 displays, Snapdragon 400-series power and multiple cameras.
The ZenFone 5 will comprise the standard ZenFone 5, ZenFone 5 Max and ZenFone 5 Lite, at least for now.
You’ve already had a glimpse of the ZenFone 5 in the previous post, but here’s another in full view (pun intended): the ZenFone 5 Lite.
Notorious serial leaker Evan Blass @evleaks recently posted several images of the device.
Aligned with current trends, the device will sport a full-screen 18:9 Full HD+ display that’s expected to measure between 5.7-inch and 6-inches.
What’s interesting is that it will boast four cameras—two each on the front and back. Could this be ASUS’ answer to Huawei’s nova 2i? Possibly.
On the rear, the main shooter is a dual 16MP camera setup arranged vertically, while on the front, it will feature a massive dual 20MP camera setup, which will tout Beauty Mode and depth of field mode.
The ZenFone 5 Lite looks to offer three colour options: Black, White and Red.
There are no other details revealed at this point, but you won’t have long to wait now. ASUS will be unveiling the new family in Barcelona on the 27 February at MWC 2018.
Stay tuned for the live stream of the launch.
