The ASUS HD 7790 DirectCU II was launched in Taipei, Taiwan today, which promises a cooler and quieter experience for ASUS and graphics card enthusiasts.
The HD 7790 DirectCU II is an overclocked AMD Radeon™ HD7790 GPU, equipped with a dual-fan cooling and DirectX® 11.1 ready for gaming and multimedia performance. While ASUS has yet to reveal the pricing on this product, the release did state that it may differ from country to country and will be made available today, 22nd March 2013.
With proprietary thermal design, consisting of dual 80mm fans specially-picked for quiet operation, copper heat pipes that contact the GPU directly, and an aluminum shroud for better heat dissipation, the DirectCU II delivers its performance at 20% (7°C) lower operating temperatures and significantly quieter, giving it more stability and durability.
The ASUS HD 7790 DirectCU II is to be an upper mid-range graphics card, delivering performance with its 1075MHz AMD Radeon™ HD 7790 GPU and 1GB GDDR5 video memory rated at 6400MHz while maintaining modest power requirements with twin 6-pin power connectors. Users may also tweak this power efficient 28m, GPU with an exclusive user-friendly graphics card tuning utility, GPU Tweak.
