The iTunes Store is the world’s most popular store for online music, apps, TV and movies featuring a catalog of over 26 million songs, 700,000 apps, over 190,000 TV episodes and 45,000 films.
Users have downloaded over 15 billion songs (June 6, 2011 stats), a whopping 25 billion apps (March 5, 2012 stats) and 130 million ebooks (June 6, 2011 stats). That’s amazing.

The new iTunes will be available in October with a dramatically simpler and cleaner interface. The cleaner iTunes features a full-window interface making easier to view your music, TV shows and movies.
The re-imagined MiniPlayer makes it easier to control your music in the most minimalistic manner. Up Next is a fun new way to see upcoming and queued songs and albums.
Integration with iCloud means all your iTunes purchases can be accessed from all your iDevices including iPhone, iPad, iPod touch as well as Mac, PC or Apple TV. Purchases are synced across your devices regardless of which device you purchased your content from.
The new iTunes is a free download. Keep your eyes peeled for its October release.
What We Think
The new redesigned iTunes is noticeably sleeker, cleaner. Definitely like the subtle shadows on the columns and dividers, no longer hard-edged like the current version. We’re also pretty sure Apple’s iTunes team has tweaked and enhanced search algorithms which will not only benefit user but also publishers. Can’t wait for October (together with the iPad mini, tsk…)
