Surprise! The iPhone Xs looks like the iPhone X

Hours before the big Apple event, popular case maker Spigen wasted no time in listing its new range of cases for the upcoming iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max. Images of the new iPhones are shown in full glory (with cool Spigen cases of course), leaving little to the imagination for the “reveal” ahead.

The iPhone Xs is the traditional “S” upgrade of last year’s iPhone X, with an identical form factor and 5.8-inch OLED Retina Display. The iPhone Xs Max, on the other hand, sports a large 6.5-inch OLED Retina Display, but otherwise shares the same design as its smaller sibling.

Apple didn’t reinvent the wheel here, but that’s not unexpected, being a “tock” upgrade.

Spigen iPhone XsThe big change in the 2018 line-up is the entry-level iPhone. The name has been speculated to hell – from iPhone 9 to iPhone Xc and now it’s pretty confirmed that it’s iPhone Xr. What does the “r” stand for? We’ll find out in a couple of hours.

The iPhone Xr sports a similar design with the iPhone Xs and Xs Max, but will feature a single rear camera and a cheaper 6.1-inch LCD screen.

Back to the cases. Spigen, as usual, has a plethora of cases to offer including its Ultra Hybrid 360, Tough Armor, Slim Armor, Slim Armor Crystal and Rugged Armor.

I’m personally a big fan of Spigen, and most if not all of my devices – including my iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy S9+ adorn Spigen cases.

The Apple launch is happening at 1AM (MYT), 13 September. Catch the live stream on Apple.com. For the first time ever, Apple will also be streaming live on Twitter. Stay tuned for updates.
