Alcatel OneTouch yesterday opened its first Alcatel OneTouch concept store in Malaysia, at Malaysia’s premier IT-mall, Low Yat Plaza. The concept store marks another milestone for the brand since its return to Malaysia in early 2013.

“We are proud to finally have our very own concept store in Malaysia. With the highly competitive smartphone market, it is imperative that the ALCATEL ONETOUCH brand has more visibility with a dedicated store to help raise awareness. We are confident that the new store’s success will help us further strengthen our brand as we continue to provide the industry with new products”, said KL Kong, Country Manager of TCT Mobile Malaysia.

The new concept store will provide a richer, more interactive customer experience and will showcase all current phone models recently introduced. Alcatel OneTouch introduced the IdolX+ in late March, its most powerful smartphone to date, powered by the true octa-core processor by MediaTek.

Alcatel OneTouch aims to open a total of six concept stores by the end of 2014. Additionally, it is looking to appoint 20 Authorised Service Centers nationwide, as it understands the importance of service and support.

Alcatel is ranked #2 in Malaysia and #6 in the world based on phones sales (Q3 2013, Gartner). It has 100 sales offices in 150 countries.
