11street is three years old in April, and what a journey it has been for the Malaysia’s number two online marketplace. A joint venture between Axiata Digital Services and South Korean e-commerce marketplace provider, SK Planet, 11street currently has over 13 million product listings from over 40,000 sellers.
The e-shopping platform has enjoyed considerable growth in several areas, from its products to its sellers.
Let’s take a look at some key achievements.
The company saw more than 300 percent growth in total gross merchandising volume (GMV), from 2015 to 2017.
It also experienced over 200 percent increase in the total number of registered sellers, as well as a growth of 160 percent in its product listings, both from 2015 to 2017.
Popular and top performing categories include Baby & Kids, Mobile & Tablets (no surprises here) and Skin & Personal Care.
F&B and service e-vouchers continue to be extremely popular items, with 11street selling more than half a million units in 2017 alone.
Malaysians, particularly love car cameras, photobooks as well as movie and petrol vouchers.
What’s interesting is that more shoppers are now making purchases for Automotive, Home Décor, Smartwatches & Wearables, and Women Jewellery & Accessories, the fastest growing categories on the platform.
11street revealed that some of the top performing brands were Firely, Laneige, Petronas, Samsung and Unilever.
The platform’s best-selling products come from China, Korea and the USA.
Hoseok Kim, CEO of 11street said that as 11street celebrates the milestone, he is confident that Malaysia will see significant advancement in the e-commerce industry in 2018. 11street does not plan to slow down any time soon, and intends to be at the forefront of the industry’s growth.
To mark its birthday and celebrate its achievements over the past three years, 11street kicked off its big Birthday Flash Sales on 1 April. The amazing celebratory sales will end on 13 April.
