After being teased the past couple of weeks, the honor 7X is officially launched in Malaysia today. The successor to the honor 6X boasts a big “Full View” display packed into a compact body. The affordable mid-ranger hits retail stores starting 22 December 2017 for MYR1,099. But, here’s a little surprise. For one hour o 18 December, you’ll be able to own one for just MYR999.
The honor 7X features 5.93-inch “Full View” Full HD+ 18:9 display, a first for the honor line-up of devices. In terms of design and build, it’s pretty close to its cousin—the Huawei nova 2i.
It’s got a superfast fingerprint sensor mounted on the back, which unlocks in just 0.25s.
Under the hood, the honor 7X is far from shabby. It rocks an octa-core 16nm Kirin 659 processor with a Mali T830-MP2 GPU, mated to 4GB of RAM and ample 64GB of onboard storage.
It packs a dual-lens 16MP + 2MP rear shooter with PDAF and Portrait mode. Honor says the 7X offers ultra-fast focus time as well as a “bokehlicious” Portrait Mode. The front gets a capable 8MP shooter with Portrait Mode.
The device gets a large 3,340mAh battery that charges up via a conventional micro-USB port.
It runs EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
The honor 7X is available in Blue, Gold and Black.
