Revealed at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015) in March, the two latest Lumia devices from Microsoft have arrived in Malaysia — the Lumia 640 Dual SIM and Lumia 640 XL. The talented duo come integrated with Microsoft Office and OneDrive storage and run the latest Lumia Denim Update, and will benefit from Windows 10 when it becomes available this Summer.
The Lumia 640 Dual SIM and Lumia 640 XL retail at RM729 and RM929 respectively, and will be available starting this Friday, 17 April 2015. Microsoft also announced its cheapest Lumia to date, the Lumia 430 Dual SIM, priced at RM319.
Both the Lumia 640 Dual SIM and bigger Lumia 640 XL are powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and bundled with 1GB of RAM. Onboard strorage is 8GB, upgradeable via microSD (up to 128GB).
The Lumia 640 Dual SIM sports a 5-inch HD IPS display (@ 259PPI), while the Lumia 640 XL gets a 5.7-inch HD display (@ 259PPI).
Design and build is signature Lumia, with bright funky colours to boot including matte/glossy cyan, orange, black and white.
Camera optics has always been a strength of the Lumia family, and despite being affordable devices, the new Lumia devices feature outstanding cameras. The Lumia 640 Dual SIM packs an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, while the Lumia 640 XL is armed with a 13MP camera with ZEISS Optics, LED flash and Lumia Camera.
The Lumia 640 Dual SIM is a 4G-LTE device, with both SIMs supported LTE data. On the other hand, the Lumia 640 XL is a 3G-enabled device. Microsoft revealed that it is working with telcos to bring the 4G LTE version of the Lumia 640 XL soon.
Whole day battery life is assured with the built-in 2500mAh battery for the Lumia 640 Dual SIM, and the 3,000mAh for the Lumia 640 XL.
Both devices run Windows 8.1 with the Lumia Denim update, complete with one-swipe Action Center, Word Flow, Live Folders and Glance Screen.

Pricing and availability
The Lumia 640 Dual SIM will be available from 17 April onwards, in glossy cyan, orange, white and matte black. The Lumia 640 XL will be available in matte cyan, orange, black and white.
From 1 April to 30 June, both devices will come with a one-year subscription to Office 365 Personal, which includes the full suite of Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote) on the Lumia and PC/Mac and one tablet. You will also get 1TB of OneDrive storage, and 60 Skype world minutes.
