NZXT has released the Kraken X31, one of the first consumer closed loop coolers with integrated variable speed pump. The new Kraken X31 re-imagines the 140mm platform in a more compact 120mm package without sacrificing performance.
The Kraken X31 utilises a 120mm radiator, built to include cases that don’t support the 140mm standard. The radiator is also optimised to run on a single fan without losing static pressure, airflow or performance.
Installation is a breeze thanks to extended tubing.
What’s great about the X31 is that despite being a budget model, it includes the same state-of-the-art integrated variable speed pump that is in the X41 and X61. The pump keeps noise levels to a minimum without sacrificing top end pump power. A single 120mm pressure-optimized PWM fan connects directly with the pump to give you complete software control over your Kraken cooler.
The legacy Kraken Control software has been replaced by the Kraken+ module within Kraken’s new software suite, CAM. With CAM, you can control the X31’s fan speeds directly from a PC or mobile device remotely.
