AMD announced that its lowest-power accelerated processing unit (APU) for tablet, hybrid and clamshell notebook PCs is the winner of the 2013 Best Choice of COMPUTEX TAIPEI award. The award was given by the Taipei Computer Association, a third consecutive win for AMD.
The new 2013 AMD Elite Mobility ultra-low power APU codenamed “Temash” is the world’s first quad-core x86 system-on-chip (SoC) designed for tablet and hybrid PCs. It is also available in dual-core configuration.
The new APUs bring computational power and extended battery life in the widest applications – media tablets, performance tablets, hybrids, small-screen touch notebooks.
AMD and other award winners’ products will be showcased at the Best Choice Award Pavilion at the 2013 COMPUTEX TAIPEI exhibition happening from June 4-8. AMD showcase is available at Booth #L0617a in the TWTC Nangang exhibition hall.
