Microsoft Debuts Windows 8 Companion App for Windows Phones
Microsoft has made available the Windows 8 Companion App for Windows Phones and Windows RT, downloadable for free via the Windows Store. The desktop app replaces the doomed Zune client on desktops.
The app is automatically installed on Windows Phone 8 users on Windows 8 PCs when a device is connected. The companion app makes it easy and seamless for users to manage their photos, music and video on their Windows Phone devices.
With the companion app, users can also share things easily from their phone with Windows 8 apps (like Photos or Search) without having to open the Windows Phone app.
Users can also automatically save photos and videos they take with their Windows Phone to their PC.
The app does not work with Windows Phone 7 devices nor Windows 7 desktop PCs.
Grab the app from Windows Store.
