Five Lucky Winners of the Ford Fiesta Best-dressed Contest Win Trip to UEFA Champions League Final Munich 2012

If you passed Jalan Telawi 3 in Bangsar recently and found that it was filled with Ford Fiestas, it was most likely due to the Ford Fiesta Best-dressed Contest judging, which gave the winners a four-day two-night trip to watch the UEFA Champions League Finals in Munich this year. Participants were required to dress-up their Ford Fiestas as creatively as possible with football themed decals and accessories. The contest was open to all new and current owners of Ford Fiesta in Malaysia and participants had to register via the Ford Malaysia Facebook page at www.facebook.com/fordfiestamy with details of the judging location revealed to them later on. Contestants were then required to describe their themes and designs for judging.

Fiesta fans of all ages and backgrounds gathered and participated in the contest, including participants from as far as Kedah.

Mandy Wong of Kuala Lumpur, one of the five selected winners said, “I love Messi. He is currently the best football player in the world and is even being compared to Maradona, which is why I chose the best for dressing up my Ford Fiesta as I feel it is the also best car for driving.”

The other four winners were Goh Saik Chew from Sungai Petani and from Kuala Lumpur, Joseph Kew, Lim Bu Hooi and Say Kuei Lin who were also awarded the trip to Munich. KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, 2 May., 2012 – Ford in Malaysia recently closed off an entire section of Jalan Telawi 3 in Bangsar for the Ford Fiesta Best-dressed Contest judging, which ended with Ford surprising two more participants, in addition to the original three, with a four day two-night trip each to watch the UEFA Champions League Final Munich 2012.

Participants had been invited to dress-up their Ford Fiestas as creatively as possible in relation to the subject of football and the road was packed with Fiestas decked out to the fullest in football themed decals and accessories, including one that was focused on Lionel Messi of Barcelona, which needless to say was one of the selected winners. In addition, contestants were required to describe how their themes and designs relate to their favourite football personality.

The contest was open to all new and current owners of Ford Fiesta in Malaysia and builds on Ford’s 20-year partnership with the UEFA Champions League. As a founding partner, Ford has been an official partner and official vehicle supplier for the UEFA Champions League since 1992. 

Enthusiastic participants had come from as far as Kedah and comprised of Fiesta fans of all ages. Fiesta fans who did not participate also turned up in high spirits for fun, to support the participants and to meet fellow Fiesta lovers.    

As the judges went around evaluating the creatively-dressed cars on parade and deliberating on the results, Ford ran trivia quizzes on UEFA, football players, Ford’s long-standing partnership with the UEFA Champions League and gave away Fiesta goodies as prizes to keep the crowd pumped up.
