SOCAR offers over 50% discount on rentals for June

SOCAR

SOCAR, leading car-sharing platform, has been throwing back-to-back offers through Ramadan and Hari Raya. It isn’t stopping there. Its latest promo is exclusively through the month of June, with discounts for selected vehicle rentals of over 50 percent.

The offer, oddly called “7878” promo sees the service offering four vehicles – Perodua Axia, Perodua Alza, Toyota Vios and Honda City at a reduced rate.

For instance, the normal daily rate on the Perodua Axia would be MYR80 per day but is now MYR70 per day, or MYR7 per hour.

Unlike every other promo, you don’t need to enter a promo code because discounts are automatically applied when you select a car. The promo is valid until 1 July 2018 throughout the Klang Valley, except Cyberjaya.

As you know, each booking comes with free petrol, up to 30km per hour, or 300km per day. A per day booking is defined as rental of 10 hours and above.

As a quick refresher, SOCAR is a South Korean-established car-sharing platform that lets you rent a car on-demand. It is currently available all over Klang Valley with over 300 cars available for rent.

Rates are as low as MYR8 per hour with a selection of various vehicles including Perodua Axia, Volkswagen Polo, Honda City, Toyota Vios, Honda HR-V, Perodua Alza and the ever-popular 3-door MINI Cooper. SOCAR has also added its first premium luxury saloon – the BMW 330e to its fleet.

The entire service runs from the free SOCAR app – from booking, to payment, to unlocking and locking the car. The app is available for iOS and Android. Note that there’s a nominal registration fee of MYR10 when you sign up.
