KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, 30 Nov., 2012 – The all-new Ford Ranger swept several awards including the coveted “Overall Car of the Year” award at the News Straits Times-Maybank Car of the Year 2012 Awards (COTY). The accolade is the first time in the 11-year history of the awards that a pickup truck has won the “Overall Car of the Year” award.

The all-new pickup was also recognised as “Pick-up Truck of the Year” by COTY and “Best Value for Money Pick-up Truck” by the Asian Auto Allianz Auto Industry Award 2012.

On the other hand, the all-new Ford Focus, which was launched locally last September, was named “Family Car of the Year” by COTY 2012.
