Honda’s much-anticipated full 7-seater crossover—BR-V is making a return with a fresher outlooks and some nifty upgrades. The refreshed 2020 BR-V is now open for booking at all 100 Honda dealerships nationwide. It is set to be launched in Malaysia in Q1 2020.

The Bold Runabout Vehicle (BR-V) first made an appearance on Malaysian shores in 2017, combing SUV-style design, versatility and impressive seat capacity. The all-rounder crossover immediately made an impact in the local market and became one of the most sought-after cars, particularly popular among customers with families. The BR-V sold over 36,000 units in the country as at January 2020, and became the a segment leader with 45 percent market share in 2019.

The refreshed BR-V gets a new improved front bumper with front grille, lower bumper garnish and front fog light garnish. Around the back, the vehicle gets a new lower bumper garnish, shark fin antenna and new 16-inch alloy wheel design.

Additionally, keyless entry and push start button are standard features across all variants.

Under the hood, the new BR-V retains the familiar 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC engine, pushing 118bhp (120PS) @ 6,600rpm and a maximum torque of 145Nm @ 4,600rpm to the front wheels via to an auto CVT. 

For added flexibility, the third row seats are adjustable with 50:50 tilt and full tumble so they can lie flat and be fully tumbled to maximise boot space (maximum of 539 litres). A new leather seat with red accents will also be offered.
