Better late than never: OnePlus One officially comes to Malaysia, via Maxis

The OnePlus One smartphone is a year old. When it was announced, it was the flagship killer that everyone wanted, but very few could get. Due to its limiting invite-only purchase strategy, it was exclusive as it was inaccessible. For the longest time, the only way to get your hands on one would be through grey importers like DirectD or Dialog Hub. However, things are about to make a turn for the better. Maxis has announced its exclusive partnership with OnePlus, and is bringing the much-touted smartphone to Malaysia. Better late than never.

The ZenFone smartphone series put ASUS on the smartphone map last year, pushing over 10 million units globally. Not bad for a brand known for its PC motherboards and notebooks. In Malaysia, ASUS was the Top 3 smartphone brand with close to 14% marketshare in 2014. Following the tremendous success, ASUS has released the latest ZenFone to the Southeast Asian market --- ZenFone 2. The highly-anticipated device was unveiled at the Experience 2Morrow regional press event in Jakarta.
