Apple today teased its second retail store in Thailand—Apple Central World, its largest retail location in the country. The store, nestled in the heart of Ratchaprasong, Bangkok’s iconic intersection, opens Friday, 31 July 2020 at 10AM (GMT +8).
Apple will reportedly ship a 20W USB-C charger with its upcoming iPhone 12, although it remains to be seen which models particularly will get the faster unit. The current iPhone 11 Pro, for instance, comes with an 18W USB-C power brick in the box but the iPhone 11 is still bundled with a prehistoric 5W charger.
The rumours are true. Apple is making the massive transition from Intel architecture to its custom-designed ARM chips across all its hardware products. You can expect to see the first Apple Silicon Macs in the market by end of the year. But guess what, there’s already a Mac mini with an Apple A12Z Bionic chip.
Mark this date: 23 June 2020. In one of four seismic shifts in its colourful history, Apple announced at Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC20) that it will transition the Mac to its own ARM-based silicon. The first Mac with Apple silicon is expected to ship out by end of the year and Apple has quoted a two-year timeline for a full transition. Apple still has new Intel-based Macs in development.

I know I’m not the only one who’s irked when donning a face mask and struggling to unlock my iPhone with Face ID. There are essentially three options: temporarily remove your mask to unlock with your face; wait a couple of seconds (and sometimes more) for passcode unlock; or use an Android phone/iPhone with a fingerprint sensor. Depending on my mood, I do one of the three. Well, the good news is, Apple has stepped up to make the experience better. With the latest iOS 13.5 update, it’s much quicker and simpler to unlock your iPhone when you’re wearing a face mask.
Apple’s potential sleeper hit—the 2020 iPhone SE will be available for sale on 11 May 2020 through the Apple Online Store and the Apple App store. For those who want to ensure they can secure a unit, though, they can pre-order from Apple Premium Resellers Machines and Switch starting 9.00AM on Monday.
