This is interesting. At 10.1MP and coming in at RM1,999, the Canon EOS 1000D DSLR is incredible value for amateurs (like me!) looking to start photography. I have been contemplating a purchase of the 12MP EOS 450D but that’s 50% more expensive, although spec-to-spec comparisons would put the 450D several notches ahead.
The first-ever Malaysian Entrepreneurs Night Out was held last night at Nomad Offices, Pavilion KL. Organised with MoBIG, the event was themed “Businesses and Opportunity with Mobile Industry with Google”. The goal of the meet was to understand the mobile landscape in Malaysia more. However, unfortunately for the 30-odd attendees, the Google boys could not make it in time due to another appointment, so we made do with some insight from Jeff Bannister of Orbitage who talked about “Opportunities in the Mobile Industry.”
Not too bad from the dreaded Streamyx. Still loses by 400Kbps to my Maxis Broadband USB. Downloads, that is.
Former gymnast and 23-year old Brit babe Alison Caroll is the new chest (I mean face) of Lara Croft. Revealed at Pineapple Studios in London, England, Alison will be the chesty, lithe and flexible every computer geeks’ wet dream for months to come. The new Tomb Raider game,’Underworld’ comes out on November 21, 2008.
Apple redefined the user interface on any mobile device with the iPhone last year. Well, guess what? They have done it again. They’ve learned plenty since then and with the iPhone 2.0 Software, this baby rocks even more. Here are 8 things I like about the new iPhone 3G:
How about that? Twice as fast and at half the price! Amazing, amazing value for money. The new iPhone trounces the old with HSDPA and GPS (unfortunately retains the crap 2.0MP camera). No second camera for video calls, as rumoured which is a bummer. But heck, USD199 with contract and available in July in over 70 countries.
The much-talked about iPhone 3G? (available now???). New Macs? Mac OS X 10.6 “Snow Leopard”?
Well, just wait and see folks. Oh, and one more thing…
This is incredible. Design maestros Bang & Olufsen shows what remotes should be in the near future. Thanks, Engadget.
This is interesting. After much silence over many months since its soft launch last year, U-Mobile has announced a 3.6Mbps 3G/HSDPA package for mobile data users. And only at RM78/month. That’s cheaper than Celcom’s or Maxis’s offerings. The good thing about it is that U-Mobile does not have a GPRS network, thus you will always be surfing at 3G speeds. Whether it delivers as it promises, U-Mobile claims users should experience at least 1.8Mbps on its network. Service is limited within the Klang Valley at the moment.
