I am neither blindly criticising nor insulting fellow Malaysians, as I am a Malaysian after all. This is about identifying the problem and doing something about it. And this can only be done through accepting that there IS a problem and teaching by example. Do you bit by giving way when one signals to cut it, don’t cut cue, let passengers alight from trains before you board, let the elderly and physically handicapped have the seat and so forth. Common sense and sensibility. And courtesy.

So are you saying that ignoring the problem, just like we do in many, many matters, they would go away? You mean to say there’s a certain kind of magic that would, David Blaine-style, that would make these problems disappear? I think not, my friend. If you so choose to not open your eyes and your ears to see and hear, so be it. Then you’ll be part of Malaysia which is ignorant, obscure and immature. The part of Malaysia which I detest and wish did not exist.

that’s the point! if you think that malaysians are stupid, dumb, what so ever. why wont you act and do something about it instead of criticizing them? they wont change if u just criticize, but do nothing about it…? that’s making it more stupid and worse since you are the one who brought up this topic!?

Hmm..There’s one thing to be ignorant, and it’s another to be in denial. This is exactly the mentality and mindset that I’ve been talking about, and mind you, I’m not the only one talking about this and being annoyed.

You know what is wrong with some Malaysians? The inability to accept the truth. Refusing to see the BIG picture. Or their weaknesses.

Don’t get me wrong. I love Malaysia. And I’m proud to be Malaysian. I am not criticising Malaysia + (some) Malaysians blindly and without thought or reason. This IS reality. What I mention happens everyday.

If you continue to still think that I am being anti-Malaysian by what I said in the blog, so be it. Be another Malaysian who ignores the ‘real’ happenings and grievances that other Malaysians experience daily. Just watch how Malaysia progresses as a passive citizen, accepting all the shit that comes along.

I don’t think there’s any point in suffering in silence. Besides, this is merely a reminder of what Malaysians ALREADY know for a fact. We seem to just be complacent and let everything slide until disaster strikes. Only when it gets to catastrophic proportions will Malaysians actually DO something.

Sad but true.
